Sponsors, suppliers and EXPO 2015: the added value in a project
ALMA Viva - Act First was opened by a convention involving ALMA sponsors and suppliers, and joined by ALMA partners such as Barilla, Bormioli Rocco, Electrolux, Illy and Bertozzi, CAMST, Mutti and Pulitalia.
In particular, the following three case histories were taken as an example for 2011 collaboration.
For Angelo Poretti brewery, Italian brand of Carlsberg Group - represented by Marketing & Trade Marketing Director Giorgio Molinari, - ALMA signed a special collection of recipes: a good way to state how beer covers a more and more important role in food pairing and as an ingredient for fine dining dishes.
For Madi Ventura, in the project “La Mia Frutta Secca - Ventura Top Chef” (My dried fruits - Ventura top chef), last October 15 Master chefs were selected by ALMA to be the protagonists of a show cooking for promoting the use of quality dried fruits by professionals.
Alitalia, represented by Marketing Director Andrea Stolfa, presented its collaboration with ALMA chefs for Alitalia Classe Magnifica menus, a project that led the company to be acknowledge as “Best Airline Cuisine 2011” by Global Traveler Magazine.
The convention was an opportunity to introduce to all the participants EXPO 2015 and the related projects and opportunities: Angelo Paris, Director of Strategic Planning, Procurement and ICT for EXPO 2015 outlined the steps to be taken for the event, which implies over 200.000 visitors every day in Milano. ALMA will play an important role in the event EXPO 2015, for the topic “Feeding the planet, energy for life” implies all the knowledge related to food and cuisine that ALMA will be sharing with the organization, to be supported by its network of International culinary schools representing all the countries involved.
