Giuseppe Grassi

Currently Head of Catering Services at ENI SpA in Italy, he was one of the first in Italy to address issues of sustainability and the circular economy in the catering industry.

He has received important awards: as an innovator in 2004, designing the first separate waste collection island in school catering and spreading it to various school catering contracts in Italian municipalities. He received a mention from TERRA MADRE in 2006 for his contribution to raising environmental awareness in school catering.

He has been awarded by the Ministry of the Environment for his work on sustainability and circular economy projects in corporate catering.

A stickler for detail, he patented the “Obsession with Detail” training course, which he teaches as part of ALMA’s Catering Management Course.

He teaches technical subjects relating to both production and operations in the catering field.

For several years, he was a mystery shopper for various international catering and retail chains.

He has been an international correspondent for several Mexican newspapers.
