The Steering Committee, an independent advisory body supporting the Board of Directors and the School’s Executive Management, is entrusted with strategic guidance, qualified consultancy, and proposal activities, with the aim of contributing to the development and evolution of ALMA’s educational offering. This means fostering continuous alignment between education, the professional world, and the national and international cultural and economic context, while supporting the School’s strategic positioning as an institution of excellence in gastronomic and hospitality education.

With particular attention to the quality of the educational service, student satisfaction, and the value recognized by the market, the Committee operates in light of the recognition of Italian Cuisine as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO—an identity-defining and strategic element for ALMA—working closely with the various corporate functions to gain a deeper understanding of the School and engage directly with its core activities.

Its members include nationally and/or internationally renowned figures of distinguished professional standing, with proven operational experience and strong cultural and methodological authority.

The Committee’s main responsibilities include assessing professional demand and employment trends, proposing curricular updates and innovations, strengthening relationships with the professional sector, and fostering networking and internationalization.

Alongside them, Andrea Grignaffini—food critic and journalist, long part of the School’s history and evolution, first as founder and later as consultant and lecturer—will take part in the Committee’s work as spokesperson and liaison between the Steering Committee and ALMA’s Board of Directors.
