Born in 1988, he graduated in Gastronomic Sciences from the University of Parma, immediately developing a passion for the history and culture of food. He then went on to study communication and marketing for the food and wine sector, obtaining a master’s degree from the IULM University in Milan.
After an important internship in Rome at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in 2015 he began working with ALMA, where he is a lecturer and head of the “Gastronomic Culture and Sustainability” group. He is also the contact person for the teaching library: a place of study and research that houses over 12,000 volumes related to food and gastronomy.
His focus on the environment and his passion for local cultures and the territory, central themes of his studies, inspired him to conceive and found PANES: a social promotion association based in Parma, established in 2020. The association, of which Fabio Amadei is president, aims to promote food culture as a tool for educational growth and encounter with others. The project was the winner of the ThinkBig 2021 competition organised by the Cariparma and Lude Foundation.
